How to start using OpenStax in your college course
OpenStax is an educational initiative of Rice University, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. At OpenStax, we believe learning is a public good, and our mission is to make an amazing education accessible for all.
What do we do? We support affordable learning opportunities by offering a library of 80+ high-quality, peer-reviewed, openly licensed textbooks for college and K12 courses. These textbooks are free on our website, making them accessible for students from day one of class.
But wait — there’s more! Each book has a suite of free instructor and student resources (like test banks, lecture slides, solutions manuals, and LMS integration), a wide selection of education technology options, and much more.
Since 2012, over 36 million students have saved $2.9 billion from using OpenStax.
In this webinar, we’ll share:
How to access our textbooks in various formats (including online, PDF, and print)
How to access your book’s free instructor and student resources
How to integrate Assignable — OpenStax’s official teaching and learning platform — into your course
How to find education technology (e.g., lab manuals, AI tools) to use alongside your book
How to customize your resources
We’ll finish the webinar with a Q&A session, so come prepared with your questions!
